1. About These Terms
This website is operated by JKR — Sri Venkateswara Rice Mill, Krishnagiri District, Tamil Nadu, India. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to JKR Rice Mill, and “you” refers to any person or business using this site or buying from us.
We may revise these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your order is the version that applies.
2. Use of This Website
This website is provided for information about our products and services, and to allow you to send us enquiries. You agree to use it lawfully and not to attempt to disrupt, copy, scrape or misuse the site or its content.
We try to keep all information on this site — including varieties, pack sizes, capacity and service areas — accurate and current. However, content is provided for general guidance and does not form a binding offer until confirmed by us in writing.
3. Enquiries and Quotations
Submitting an enquiry through our form, phone, WhatsApp or email does not create a contract. It is a request for a quotation.
We aim to respond to all bulk order enquiries within 24 hours. Any quotation we give is valid for the period stated in it, or for 7 days if no period is mentioned, because paddy and rice prices move with the market.
4. Orders and Confirmation
An order becomes binding only when we confirm it to you — by message, email or invoice — stating the variety, quantity, rate, delivery location and expected delivery window.
- Minimum order quantity: 26 kg. Truck load orders are available on request.
- Retail packs are supplied in 5 kg and 10 kg sizes under the JKR brand.
- We reserve the right to decline or limit any order, including where stock is unavailable or the delivery location is outside our service area.
5. Pricing
Rice prices depend on variety, grade, ageing period and prevailing paddy market rates, and can change without notice. Prices shown or discussed before confirmation are indicative only.
Unless stated otherwise, prices are quoted ex-mill, exclusive of transport, loading and unloading charges. GST and other applicable taxes are charged as per law and shown separately on the invoice.
6. Payment Terms
Payment terms for each order are as agreed and stated on the confirmation or invoice. Unless we have agreed credit terms with you in writing, payment is due before or at the time of dispatch.
- An advance may be required for bulk and truck load orders
- Credit terms, where given, apply only to approved regular customers
- Goods remain our property until payment is received in full
- Delayed payments may attract interest at the rate stated on the invoice, and may pause further supply
We never collect card numbers, UPI PINs or banking passwords through this website. Please verify our account details directly with us before making any transfer.
7. Delivery and Logistics
We supply across Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri and Tiruvannamalai districts, and to other locations by prior arrangement. Delivery is coordinated through trusted transport partners.
- Delivery dates are estimates given in good faith, not guarantees
- Delays caused by transport, weather, road conditions or authorities are outside our control
- Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery, or on loading where you arrange your own transport
- You are responsible for providing accurate delivery address, contact number and access for unloading
- Additional charges may apply for failed delivery attempts, wrong addresses or re-delivery
8. Product Quality and Variation
Our rice passes through a 7-step process and Z+ Series Bühler Sortex optical sorting, followed by manual inspection before packing. We supply rice that meets the grade and specification agreed for your order.
Rice is an agricultural product. Minor natural variation in grain length, colour, aroma, cooking behaviour and broken percentage is normal between seasons, harvests and batches, and does not amount to a defect. Photographs on this website are indicative.
Any quality complaint must be raised within 48 hours of delivery, with the original packing, batch details and invoice, and before the stock is consumed or resold. This allows us to inspect and resolve the issue fairly.
9. Storage After Delivery
Once delivered, proper storage is your responsibility. Rice must be kept in a clean, dry, well-ventilated and pest-free space, away from moisture, direct sunlight and strong odours.
We are not responsible for spoilage, infestation, moisture damage, weight loss or odour transfer arising from storage conditions after delivery.
10. Cancellation and Returns
Orders may be cancelled without charge before packing begins. Once an order has been packed or dispatched, cancellation may attract handling and transport charges.
As rice is a food product, we do not accept returns for change of mind, or where packs have been opened, repacked, relabelled or stored improperly. Genuine quality issues reported within the 48-hour window will be investigated and, where we find the complaint justified, resolved by replacement or credit at our discretion.
11. Subscription Supply
Monthly subscription supply is available for traders, supermarkets, hotels, restaurants and caterers. The quantity, variety, delivery schedule and rate-revision basis will be agreed separately for each subscription.
Either party may end a subscription by giving reasonable notice — normally 30 days — with all deliveries already made remaining payable.
12. Intellectual Property
The JKR brand name, logo and packaging design are registered trademarks of JKR — Sri Venkateswara Rice Mill. All text, images, layout and design on this website belong to us or our licensors.
You may not use our brand, logo, packaging or website content without our written permission. Reselling our rice repacked under another brand, or in JKR packaging without authorisation, is not permitted.
13. Limitation of Liability
Our liability in connection with any order is limited to the invoice value of the goods in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss arising from delay.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable Indian law, including liability under food safety legislation.
14. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for failure or delay in supply caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including crop failure, drought or flood, transport strikes, fuel or power shortage, fire, epidemic, government restrictions or changes in law. In such cases we will inform you and agree a revised schedule or cancel the affected part of the order.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these terms or from any supply made by us is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu.
